Connect with us

We are currently seeking expressions of interest for workshop coordinators and nominations for community participation in our ongoing Youth Visioning Workshop program.

Nearly a decade ago a multi-day Youth Visioning Workshop Methodology was created. This initiative engages young people from forest communities in meaningful conversations about their lives, aspirations, and visions for the future.

Applications are now open for coordinators, communities, and partnerships to continue this important work.

Application Intake: Fall 2024
Eligible Event/Initiative Dates: Beginning in 2025

Before you complete the application, please consider:

  • The Youth Visioning Workshop Methodology: How might this approach apply to the community you have in mind?

  • Existing Communities: Has the community you wish to work with previously participated in this program, or does it have a connection to any of the communities that have already been involved?

  • Funding: Do you have secured funding for the workshop, including co-funders? If not, is additional financial support required?

  • Partnerships: A key goal of the Future of Forest Work initiative is to create opportunities for young people to better understand the significance of forest work and forest communities within a global context. We encourage applications that involve local NGOs, community-based organizations, and partnerships that can contribute financial or in-kind support.

Additionally, your insights will help us identify key collaborators to bring valuable expertise, resources, and community engagement to the project. Please specify any potential partner organizations—such as local NGOs focused on conservation or community development, academic institutions, governmental agencies, private sector stakeholders, or Indigenous leadership councils—that could contribute to the workshop's success. These partnerships are essential for fostering a comprehensive and impactful program.

Please complete all questions to the best of your ability. Links to supporting documents or websites are welcome!

Once your form is submitted, our team will reach out to schedule a 30-minute introduction call. A final report, including survey data, is due after the workshop.

If you encounter any difficulties while filling out the form or have questions, please contact us at info at pilot-projects.org for assistance.
